Piano services
Marcus has an intense passion and high skill level in piano performance, having begun playing piano at age 10, and studying with Dr. Eli Kalman at UW Oshkosh from age 15 to 22. His solo repertoire includes works by Shostakovich, Debussy, and Mussorgsky. During college, he performed in a chamber duo with Zach Schmitt (percussion), playing works by Sejourne and Schliecker/Rower. Marcus regularly accompanies with groups around the Fox Valley, including Oshkosh West High School, the UW Oshkosh Chamber Choir, and the Oshkosh Youth Choir. He also accompanies multiple vocalists at UW Oshkosh, working with them in rehearsals and lessons throughout the semester to prepare them for vocal juries and recitals.
Marcus has trained and gained experience in vocal accompanying beginning in high school, and worked closely with the UW Oshkosh Chamber Choir in the 2021-2022 school year. He brings a full, vibrant sound to any ensemble or accompanying part, and his experience extends to instrumental, solo, and ensemble accompaniment.
